Song: Jack Wall ft Cindy Wall - Exile

A bonus track from the Myst III soundtrack; I’m not sure why I love this so much, but it’s one of the five most-played songs in my library. It doesn’t hurt that I love Jack Wall’s music, either.

Song: Orbital - Halcyon + On + On

One of the seminal tracks in the ambient scene; this one never fails to distract me.

Song: Poe - Hello

This is the Rare Layered Remix of Hello; I found it and fell in love with it in a Stargate Atlantis fanvid.

Back again! Sorry for the intermission.

This is The Flying Neutrinos - Mr Zoot Suit, which is an awesome piece of nouveau swing. I seem to recall I came across this via the Brendan Fraser & Alicia Silverstone movie Blast From the Past, which was unremarkable but sweet.

Song: Porcelain Black ft Lil Wayne - This Is What Rock & Roll Looks Like

This was last week’s US iTunes free song of the week (I have a US account because the Aussie store has a 70% markup) and it’s really really awesome. Anthemic pop-rock and the vocalist has a lovely growly voice.

Skream & Example - Shot Yourself In The Foot Again. On first listen it’s kind of typical dubstep, but it’s actually ridiculously catchy and it’s earwormed me for days now.

Boom Crash Opera - Onion Skin. This is a nice little bit of Aussie pop-rock from the late 80s; it always puts a smile on my face. Also, I seem to recall the video clip was hilariously bad, in the way of music videos from that era.

(Also, apologies for the hiatus; I’ve been using the other OS lately, and my setup on that partition doesn’t have any music. I’ve been surviving on my iPad’s library.)

Sarah McLeod - He Doesn’t Love You. McLeod is one of rock’s First Ladies, the front for The Superjesus, and basically awesome. This track is a solid rock pounder that is carried all the way by McLeod’s vocals, which are - to use a very over-used word - fierce.
